The long way up

A lone walker in red begins the long and laborious climb up the rear of Clougha Pike in Lancaster, via the serpentine-bowed ‘Shooter’s Path’ that gives the public access to the vast moorland sprawl of the Duke of Westminster’s Abbeystead estate in the Forest of Bowland.
