Ecstasy
A hen Pheasant takes time out of her busy schedule to absorb some rays and kick back. She was apparently lost in the throes of ecstasy, her mottled feathers warming up as she sunbathed, head cocked back with beck agape and eyes only half-open: indeed, so enamoured with the Sun was this game bird that I could approach to within just a foot’s length without her darting for cover in the nearby undergrowth, blissfully unaware of all around her…
