The old Oak tree(s)

From this angle, the Oak tree appears to have been struck by lightning sometime long ago in its life, which has resulted in a ‘cleft’ between its Winter-barren branches. However this is a trick of the eye: there are actually two Oak trees very close together – indeed they seem to have sprouted from Acorns mere inches apart – and as they have grown, their trunks have merged and intertwined as one.

*Shot on a Canon 80d 24mp dSLR camera using a Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Nano lens with camera settings at ISO-100, aperture at f/8, spot metering mode and an exposure time of 1/400 seconds*
