Helvellyn

A picture of one of the Lake District’s most iconic and well-known mountains, Helvellyn. This shot is taken from above the car park off the A591 next to Thirlmere and it captures the scale of the mountain’s dramatic ridge line that separates Thirlmere valley from Patterdale.

*Shot on a Panasonic Lumix G5 16mp m4/3 digital camera using an Olympus 17mm f/2.8 M.Zuiko prime lens with camera settings at ISO-160, aperture at f/8, spot metering mode and an exposure time of 1/800 seconds*
