A panoramic shot of Readycon Dean reservoir – which is situated high up on the Pennine moors in Denshaw – showing the thin entry channel of what eventually becomes the River Tame once water is discharged from the reservoir sluices. The water then flows onwards to Delph and beyond through Uppermill, Mossley, Stalybridge, Ashton-under-Lyne and Hyde before joining the River Goyt at Stockport and finally becoming the River Mersey.
Is this the modern-day equivalent to those cave paintings from thousands years ago, where prehistoric man blew dried ochre mud across their splayed hands or is it just the result of goons let loose with a spray can of white paint…? Mmm, difficult one that…
